As a teenager, Wregas Bhanuteja thought he had no particular talent. Then he bumped into cinema and plunged in with all his energy. In Prenjak, he transcends a resolutely documentary image towards warmer hues and elegant chiaroscuro. He thus banishes sordid voyeurism to the benefit of tender and humorous poetry. What he reveals at the light of a match is then not so much the harshness of existence, but the immense energy, which makes people move on.
